Genuine, inspired by this word that came from Joel, my CF Chairman… Serving others can be genuine, such joy that easily fades away with time, as we enter the workforce. Yet, I believe the stand to be genuine is still a choice… He added that I used to play the role in serving others, as a reply, I thank him and said that it’s such a pleasure… Recalling since young, I was in the Café Ministry, which was my first step in finding joy in serving others. Greeting others with a genuine smile; thank each one that steps forward with a purchase; receiving orders; “M16 Session” from the customers… Since than, I enjoyed seeing others enjoy their food, and God instill this desire in my heart to build a strong & profitable franchise, so that as I’m blessed, I can be a blessing to God’s ministry and others. What’s so different of my franchise outlet? I guess the management style must be unique, actually haven’t thought of it… Create a warm and friendly environment, as I used to see in church Café…
Finally, or I hoped so, the final event in my Uni life. Safety Campaign 2008… Recalling back when Wei Yao approached me to join his team, I doubted for quite some time, as I’m not confident that talks will draw the crowd and questioned my capability of handling the event. Recalling words from Riana, “as long as you place your heart in things you do, it will turn out as meaningful…” I agree with the statement, as satisfaction comes with effort… Therefore, I’ll put my very best. And the finale of the campaign, the Crime Prevention Talk by the MCPF. Our main concern is as usual, the attendance. Therefore, we decided to switch venue to KAG01, but unexpectedly, it clashes with the Dean’s meeting with the HODs… Change of venue to KAG02 in such a short time… Mistake in the script, late arrival of speaker, major changes in program flow and so forth… The lesson behind it is still “flexibility”. Thank you, God for being my source of strength. Thanks for all the opportunities and guidance throughout my Uni life.
After the event, I had a great bath… Next stop, CF AGM at 8.30pm. I’m so thankful for Jennifer’s spirit in times of need. She’s been so supportive and the listener when I needed it most. Weiqi joined us for the first time in CF, and it was such a pleasure to have her here. Witnessing the first CF AGM, with Desmond as our song leader, and Janice and Riana as MCs. Cheers to Ai Ling!!! Walking back home, great fellowship with Wq n Ri. Miss times like this, brisk walk and chit-chat around the swim pool… Some planning need to be settled and there goes another day….
Thanks for all I've learned through this period, and my heart's desire is that I may get the engine started for studies.
