Mum woke me up; the best part is I brought everything to church… A few “advice” from mum, just the usual one… I prepared my speech on the first service, continued by teaching in CHAMPS during the 2nd one. Teacher Lim Chin catch up with me to pass me a gift, she apologized for unable to make it due to fever… Jen reached early, followed by a phone call… Thanks to all my image consultants: Nikita for spending your Thursday to get that dress, and those accessories, Wan Ling for the makeup…
The clock strikes 1.30, upon reaching PJ Hilton, I saw Kai Ye, Jennifer and Jaime… How could the host herself not get ready? Food was great, with a blast of fellowship, however, I hardly eat… Everyone gave their wishes and gifts, hand shakes and hugs… I felt loved, how could I ever complain for the small things in life, when God has blessed me abundantly? My greatest surprise was from Polly, she indeed is the surprise guest of the day. With a total attendance of 56, I felt blessed… Everyone gathered at 345pm for cake cutting ceremony. Being the centre of attention, I was once a lifetime thing… Everyone sang the birthday song with blessings in their lips, and made me so touched, even in a moment like this… My pre-prepared speech was indeed a long one, but the true speech turned out to be a short one. Nikita’s advice was in my mind “speack from the bottom of your heart”… Song, cake-cutting, prayer by both my spiritual parents, and my speech draws an end to it… Mum was touched, she said after that… Ps Carey was in tears…
The cake was a great one, so chocolaty… After the ceremony, many made a move… Fellowship was great with Jie, Nikita, Ri, Suk Mun and Polly… Lots of photos taken, but my greatest regret was not taking pics with Jen, I’m so sorry… Sob...Sob… Kelvin’s birthday falls on the same date, and we sang birthday song with him too… Fellowship was great with all and I appreciate these people that have made such an impact in my life… God is good, all the time… I was so touched that Uncle James (kai ye), and Jaime made it despite struggling through health… Ri joined me back on the journey back Puchong, and dad reminded me to pray for my future spouse…
Indeed, this is my first time having such abundant gifts, and the one I treasure most is the heartwarming wishes from all… Thanks for everything… Without a nap, I was almost worn-out. Journey back Sg Long, cleaning up, and rest … at last… Sweet dreams...
